So you've probably clicked this because you're a little confused...
Dreamscape is a purely fantasy, fictional world created by me, Taya, in the hopes of expanding creativity and developing an outstanding RPG community. You can join as any type of creature - mythical, fictional or real, as well as tack on any strange colors, markings or accessories that you'd like! Examples include - glow in the dark markings, color changing eyes, tiger stripes on a wolf(or other, non-striped animals), a leopard with a unicorn's horn, and more! The only limit here is that you don't join human-type creatures... so no mermaids, elves, orcs, fairies, goblins, vampires or werewolves. However, with Dreamscape's unique storyline, there is still a way to bring your favorite human here!

Dreamscape is very loosely based off the idea from the TV series "Lost". In Lost, the island appears to "select" people to bring to the island... at Dreamscape, the world "selects" souls and brings them here. The beings brought here could have been about to die on another world and were "saved" or given a second life, could've just been walking around bored, or could've been an idea, concept, or a myth that the world of Dreamscape brought to life. Once brought here, the souls are all turned into some sort of non-humanoid creature... Take my gryphon character Citrus. He was a stuffy victorian man living in a steampunk "might-have-been" universe but was transported to Dreamscape and turned into a gryphon! He still kept his steampunk goggles, and the lovely green eyes he had as a human. Sort of understand? Don't worry, you'll get it :D

It's not just humans that look different... all sorts of creatures brought here don't exactly have to look how they once did. I used to play a horse called Anka. She was just your average bay horse when she was alive on Earth... but when she licked a poison dart frog and died and was brought to Dreamscape, she awoke with the colors of that same dart frog instead of her normal colors. So, yes, you can get creative with your fantasy animals too! Or not! Do you want to play a normal grey wolf? Go for it! We welcome all colored creatures here, and it makes it even more interesting when a normal colored critter runs into another of its species in abnormal hues!

Now, another fun thing about Dreamscape is that you can buy magic for your characters! Through coins that you can earn from stealing, fighting, Questing, contests or maybe just lying around, you can walk yourself down to the Market and browse the selection of powers that I offer, including an "other" selection if you want something a little bit different. You can also purchase numerous potions, tokens, and funny prank items, like the Drag Show Potion. Wouldn't it be amusing to buy that potion, convince your In Character buddy to drink it and laugh when they turn into the opposite gender for 5 posts? Or maybe you're more practical and saved up for some fire balls and cloak spell? With this wide range of items, you can add more elements to your character for even more adventurous possibilities!
